Who We Are

A Wolverhampton security company running national contracts

Albrighton Group Services Ltd was incorporated in December 2020 and trades as AGS Security. Management has over 20 years of experience in the security industry, and that experience shapes how contracts are run rather than how they are sold.

We work with national housebuilders, civil engineering contractors, commercial developers and property managers. The sites we cover range from a single plot at first fence through to multi-unit developments, industrial estates, distribution premises and vacant commercial buildings. Some clients need one officer on one gate; others need cover across several sites in different regions, coordinated to the same standard.

You can read client feedback from the organisations we work with.

How the work starts

Assess the site, brief the officer, stay reachable

The work starts before an officer arrives. We assess the site properly — access points, hours, neighbouring activity, what has already gone wrong, and what the client's insurer or principal contractor requires. That assessment becomes written assignment instructions, so the officer on site knows what to check, what to record and who to call.

From there it is communication and evidence. Patrol visits are logged through a reporting app that produces timed, evidenced records. Incidents are reported with photographs. Supervisors stay reachable out of hours, because that is when most of what we are paid to prevent actually happens.

We are not the largest security company in the West Midlands. What we offer is a contract that is planned before it starts, officers who are briefed for the specific site, and someone who answers the phone at three in the morning.

How AGS Works

Four stages, applied whether the contract is one officer on one gate or cover across several regions.

1

Understand the Requirement

Review the site, its hours, access arrangements and the risks already identified by the client, principal contractor or insurer.

2

Plan the Security Cover

Decide the appropriate mix of manned guarding, patrols, gatehouse cover or dog handler teams, and set it out in writing.

3

Brief and Deploy

Officers work to site-specific assignment instructions covering duties, checks, escalation routes and reporting.

4

Reporting & Operational Support

Maintain the agreed reporting rhythm, escalate incidents through named contacts, and review cover as the site changes.

Due diligence

Standards, Credentials and Memberships

Categorised accurately. Not everything below is an accreditation, and we do not present it as one.

Accreditation

Acclaim, under the SSIP umbrella — the health and safety assessment recognised across UK construction procurement.

Registration

Builder's Profile supplier registration. AGS is also registered with the ICO under number ZB329521.

Memberships

NASDU, Black Country Chamber of Commerce, and Social Value.

Vetting & Insurance

Officers are screened to BS 7858 and hold SIA licences. AGS carries £10 million Employers' Liability and Public Liability cover. Certificates available on request.

Coverage

Wolverhampton base. Nationwide capability.

AGS Security is based in Wolverhampton and deploys across England, Scotland and Wales. Being a West Midlands company with national reach means one point of contact whether a site is fifteen minutes away or four hours up the motorway.

If your site is not somewhere we obviously cover, send us the postcode and we will confirm cover and cost.

Our approach

Our Approach to Running Contracts

AGS is directed hands-on rather than at arm's length. Site requirements are agreed in writing, officers are briefed against those requirements, and accountability for delivery sits with named people rather than a ticketing system.

Officers hold SIA licences and are screened to BS 7858. Continuous training keeps teams current with industry standards and the reporting technology used on site. Where a contract changes — a development moves phase, a building empties, hours extend — the cover is reviewed rather than left as written twelve months earlier.

Client communication is the part most often neglected in this industry. Ours is deliberate: a named contact, agreed escalation routes, and reporting a client can put in front of their own insurer or principal contractor.

Why clients choose us

Why Clients Choose AGS

Site-Specific Security Planning

Every contract begins with a site assessment and written assignment instructions, not a standard template applied to a new postcode.

SIA-Licensed Personnel

Officers hold current SIA licences and are screened to BS 7858. Licence and screening records are available for client audit.

Operational Support Out of Hours

Supervisors are contactable through the night and at weekends, which is when most site incidents occur.

Single & Multi-Site Capability

One gate or several regions, coordinated to one standard, with one point of contact and consistent reporting.
